Handling the Difficult Person

Objective:
The participant will learn how to keep a conversation productive by determining what path their communication is taking and whether it is productive or not; and to predict what type of response they will receive when they ask a question or make a statement.

Process:

  1. Identify the different personality traits we communicate from
  2. Work as groups to determine the indicators of the communication traits
  3. Understand how to interact effectively by identifying types of transactions
  4. Learn about strokes
  5. Practice skills
Outcome:
The participant will be able to quickly identify what communication trait they are communicating from as well as others. Using this information, they will be able to direct the communication flow to produce more effective dialog and get results needed.
